This quarterly report is based on real-world data on trade density (slaes per m²) in Kenya that is supplied to Sagaci Research by participating retailers on a monthly basis. This dataset is expanding every month and currently covers more than 300 stores.
Absolute trade density is provided per store, per mall and for the following categories:
- Beauty and personal care
- Food and beverage (fast food, casual dining, cafés and restaurants)
- Fashion (clothing and footwear)
- Grocery retail
- Specialised retail (accessories, health shops and pharmacies, household appliances and furniture)
The report also provides data on the performance of stores located outside of Nairobi (in such cities as Mombasa and Eldoret), in addition to data at district and/or mall level for the food and beverage and beauty categories.
