In Kenya, most casual dining and QSR players have been ‘relatively’ spared by the Covid19 crisis, with outlets closed only during a few weeks in early 2020.
In our January 2021 ranking of QSR/Casual Dining brands (according to their satisfaction score), KFC is #1 ahead of Java House and Spur. Cold Stone Creamery is #4 and Kukito, which opened 15 months ago, takes a surprising #5 spot. Interesting to note that with the exception of KFC, Cold Stone Creamery and Subway, most brands in the Top 10 are either local or regional chains.
Ranking of QSR/Casual Dining brands in Kenya, based on their satisfaction score in January 2021:
- Java House
- Cold Stone Creamery
- Pizza Inn
- Planet Yogurt
- Big Square
- Chicken Inn
